چکیده

The aim of this study was threefold (1) to assess the reliability three upper-extremity performance tests: a countermovement push up, press jump and drop box land, performed on set dual-force plates (2) examine whether there an association between isokinetic dynamometry tests in non-injured cohort collision/contact athletes (3) establish normal descriptive profile vertical ground reaction forces from tests, contact/collision athletes. split into two sub-sections; inter-day (n = 21) descriptive, correlation investigating relationship metrics 39). Comparing the Isometric Strength of the Shoulder and Scapulothoracic Muscles in Volleyball and Futsal Athletes

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the symmetry of the isometric strength of the shoulder and scapulothoracic muscles in volleyball and futsal athletes. Methods: In this case-control study, the strength of the scapulothoracic muscles and rotation of the shoulders in 20 adult volleyball athletes and 20 futsal adult athletes, who were randomly selected from sports clubs around Tehran, were me...

Posture and isokinetic shoulder strength in female water polo players

Water polo is a high-intensity intermittent aquatic sport which places large physical demands on the participants[1] and involves repetitive physical motions that are common to swimming and baseball pitching.[2] Water polo consists of four quarters, where two teams of seven players per side attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into their opponents' goal. Water polo is played in a pool me...

Single-Leg Hop Test Performance and Isokinetic Knee Strength After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction in Athletes

Background Isokinetic strength and hop tests are commonly used to assess athletes' readiness to return to sport after knee surgery. Purpose/Hypothesis The purpose of this study was to investigate the results of single-leg hop and isokinetic knee strength testing in athletes who underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) upon returning to sport participation as well as to study...

Relationship Between Closed-Linear-Kinetic- and Open-Kinetic-Chain Isokinetic Strength and Lower Extremity Functional Performance

Context: Isokinetic strength and functional performance are used to assess recovery after rehabilitation. It is not known whether low-speed closed-linear-kinetic isokinetic muscle strength correlates with functional performance. Objective: To investigate the relationship between linear closed (CKC) and open (OKC) concentric isokinetic strength of the dominant lower-limb extensors and functional...

The effect of postural restoration exercises on function and isokinetic torque of shoulder external and internal rotator muscles in non-professional athletes with shoulder internal impingement syndrome

Introduction: Internal Shoulder impingement is one of the most common problems in athletes with postural asymmetry. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of postural restoration exercises on patients' disabilities and the torque of the shoulder rotator muscles. Materials and Methods: In this clinical trial study, 23 patients with internal shoulder entrapment were randomly divided in...
